Spirit-soluble Powder Color – Color Accents for Spirit Varnishes in Violin Making
Our high-quality, spirit-soluble powder colors are specially developed for tinting spirit varnishes in violin making. Before use, simply dissolve the pigment powder in pure alcohol (spirits) to achieve a uniform, fine color mixture.
The colors can be easily mixed with each other, allowing you to create custom shades exactly to your liking. The color concentrate can then be easily incorporated into the spirit varnish without affecting its transparency or gloss.
The powder colors impress with their high color strength, excellent lightfastness, and perfect compatibility with traditional violin-making materials. Ideal for violin makers and restorers seeking finely graded color nuances and an authentic, professional finish.
Ethanol (Alcohol) 99%
This 99% pure alcohol (denatured with 1% MEK) is ideally suited for dissolving natural resins themselves. This high-quality alcohol ensures the solution has no white gumming (streaks). We also recommend out 99% ethanol for spirit soluble powder colours. For varnishing we recommend approximately 300g-400g resin to 1 litre ethanol. ATTENTION - The 10 liter canister can only be shipped in Germany.
