Bow Rosin
Rosin for Violin & Viola Our Rosin for Violin and Viola is a high-quality bow rosin for musicians who value reliable response and a comfortable playing feel. The carefully balanced formulation provides good grip between the bow hair and the strings. It supports a controlled response and even tone production throughout the entire bow stroke. The rosin is suitable for violin and viola and can be used on both newly rehaired and well-played bows. Its pleasant consistency allows for an even and economical application to the bow hair. Application Draw the bow hair across the surface of the rosin several times using light, even pressure. A newly rehaired bow will usually require several applications until the bow hair has picked up a sufficient amount of rosin. For bows that are played regularly, a light application as needed is sufficient. Excessive rosining should be avoided, as excess rosin may remain as fine dust on the strings and instrument. Care After playing, rosin residue should be gently removed from the strings and the surface of the instrument with a soft, dry cloth. This helps prevent deposits from building up on the instrument varnish over time.
